Carumba! New American Bistro

Carumba! New American Bistro fuses ingredients from the Americas to create a unique North Scottsdale restaurant experience. This is the second restaurant KDG designed for Scottsdale Cafés. This space was transformed from a kitschy Italian restaurant with a lot of red to this brighter Latin artsy bistro. To divide the bar area from the restaurant, KDG designed “wineboxes�? used both horizontally and vertically to divide the space while allowing plenty of natural light to pass through. We used the same color scheme as the original Café Carumba. Floors were striped of the existing carpet and the concrete was stained. The space is vibrant and successful.
