IBM/Mainspring
Mainspring contradicted all traditional consulting firms. They were a talented group of consultants that made a statement in the consulting industry in the digital strategy sector. Their space was recently published in a book called “Integral Urbanism? by Nan Ellin. During programming, one of the partners told me that the staff rarely sits at their desks; they liked to walk and talk. The space was designed to have an interior “track? that had multiple places to “touchdown? when the need for privacy or writing space was required. The color scheme was inspired by an admired Matisse painting. Neighborhoods were created so that consultants could assemble, from an inventory, their own unique working environment and change it as projects and teams change.
