.406 Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in innovative Information Technology (“IT�?) and services companies founded by the finest entrepreneurs. Baseball fans know that .406 refers to Boston Red Sox legend Ted Williams’ 1941 batting average, the last time a batter broke .400 in a season. .406’s logo represents Williams’ strike zone with the red points highlighting the zone of greatest potential success.

Katz Design Group took elements from the logo concept to create a space that had hints of the strike zone without becoming a shrine to Ted Williams. Metal perforated panels in the reception give a perfect backdrop to the monuments .406 Ventures have been awarded. The space is very open letting an enormous amount of natural light through to all the employees. There are spectacular views of the harbor throughout the entire space. The “green�? accent finishes are unique in style and character.
